Delores Billizone Meredith entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the tender age of 64; surrounded by family, friends and love ones. Delores is the mother of Ernest (Carnella) Billizone, Roxanne Roussell, Rose (Greg) Washington, Quentella Johnson, Quentin and Byron Meredith. Stepmother of: Velena Gant, Deborah and Christine LaSalle, Joyce Williams, Shelisha G. Smith, Jeanne Davis and Desiree King. Daughter of: the late Thomas Billizone, Sr. and Louvina Johnson Billizone. Sister of: Thomas (Verna) Billison, Jr., Charles ((Lynn) Billison and the late Merlin and Nathan Billizone. Sister-in-law of: Audrey Billison and Alma Billizone. Devoted life time friend of Patricia Sanders; also survived by 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Delores was a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. She had a desire and zeal for the word of God; which was her source of guidance and strength. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Joseph Outreach Baptist Church of Algiers, La. and neighboring churches. Employees of Ochsner Clinic Westbank, Advance Care, FMC Marrero, and Cheattam Transportation are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, 6564 Acre Rd., Marrero, La. on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Gilbert Barnes host Pastor/Pastor Clarence Joseph officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m., until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Cemetery- Avondale, La.
