Tonye A. Jones, Sr.

Tonye A. Jones Sr., was called by his creator on Monday, June 21, 2010, after a long illness. He graduated from high school at Okrika Grammar School in Nigeria in 1977 and decided to further his education in the United States, where he attended Southern University (SUNO) in the mid 80s. Husband of the late Yvonne Clayton Jones. Father of Tonye Jones, Jr. and Miss Tamunobelema Jones who resides in Nigeria. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister. Age: 51 years a native of Ogu, Nigeria and a resident of Metairie, La. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, La. on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
