Doris Mae Brown Saylor departed this life at Canon Hospice on Wednesday, September 12, 2012. Wife of the late Leon Saylor. Mother of Elaine M. Tate and Lance Johnson. Daughter of the late Thomas Brown, Sr. and Lillian Elam Brown. Sister of Thomas, Jr., Albert, Herman, Herbert, and Alvin Brown, Beverly A. Brown Saylor and Rosemary B. Varnado, also survived by a host of other relatives friends. Age: 73 years a native of Violet, La. and a resident of New Orleans, La. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, La. on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. at the above named parlor.
