Matthew Bartley

Matthew Bartley, age 57, a laborer and musician, entered his eternal rest at his residence on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 11:01a.m He was born on January 10, 1957 in New Orleans, La. and was a resident of Marrero, La. most of his life. Matthew attended Elm Grove School and West Jefferson High School. Son of Frank Bartley, Jr., and the late Dorothy Marie Bartley. Brother of Brendalyn (Theodore, Sr.) Booker, Barbara LaMothe, Jacquelyn (Michael, Sr.) Edwards, Pamela (Glenn, Sr.) Johnson, Frank Bartley, III, Robert Charles (Carol Ann) and Michael Bartley, and the late Dorothy Jean Young and Diann Marie Dabney. Brother-in-law of the late Benjamin LaMothe, Jr.; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of 1st Free Mission, Regular and Greater Providence Baptist Churches and all neighboring churches; employees of Heart of Hospice, Drs. Procell, Yancey, Kessler, and Glass, Nurse Practitioner Nicole and staff are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, La. on Friday, November 23, 2012 at 10:00a.m Elder Glenn Johnson, Sr. Assistant Pastor of The Way of The Cross Bible Church, Dallas, Tx.-officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
