Hannah Ruffin Prince, a retired food technician of the Orleans Parish School System, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at her residence. She was a graduate of L. B. Landry Class of 1958. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Norman Prince. Devoted mother of Elaine, Letha and Alvin Ruffin, and Gregory (Dionne) Prince. Foster mother of Kim and Ernesto Johnson, Ingrid (Michael) Lewis, Brenda Washington, Sybil Bertrand, Ira Green and Marcella Searson. Daughter of the late Henry and Josephine Felo Ruffin. Sister of Albertha Ruffin Anderson, Wilbert (Celeste) Ruffin, Joseph (Viola) Ruffin, Burnell (Marie) Nevels, and the late Bertha Jackson, Joyce Lewis and Henry Ruffin, Jr. Foster sister of Ruth Phoenix. Sister-in-law of Vernon Lewis, II, Alberta Ruffin and the late Douglas Anderson, Sr. and Eli Jackson, Sr.; also survived by 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 75 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Algiers, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Second Baptist Church, Second Nazarine Baptist Church, Asbury United Methodist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Martin Behrman Charter School, Atmos Entergy, Flowers Baking Company, Southeast Louisiana Hospital, Walmart (Behrman Hwy), Landrys Seafood and L. B. Landry Class of 1958 are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Baptist Church, 2836 Sullen Place Algiers, La. on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Taza Green, Sr.-officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m.-10:00a.m ONLY at the above named church.
