Percy Lee Burns, Sr. a former truck driver for J. Ray McDermott departed this life at West Jefferson Medical Center on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 4:30p.m.. Beloved husband of Vera M. Burns. Father of Beatrice, James Earl, Terrie Ann, Lorenzo, and Percy Burns, Jr., and the late Ollie Doll, Johnny and Vera Burns. Son of the late Robbie Terrell. Brother of Bonnie Divinity, Eva Holmes, and the late M. H. Davis and James Rayfield. Devoted friend of Robert Bailey, also survived by 19 grandchildren, 39, great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 70 years a native of Utica, Ms. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Heavenly Star Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Heavenly Star B.C. 1020 Cohen St. Marrero, La. on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service at the above named church.
