James Elliott, Sr. departed this life on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Louisiana Specialty Hospital in Marrero, La. Beloved husband of Patsy Elliott. Father of Annie, James, Jr. Annette, Terri, Pamela, Micheal, Yolanda, Jamal and Kashanna. Son of the late David Robinson, Jr. and Blanche Elliott Brown. Stepson of the late Mike Brown. Brother of Essie Wilson, Barbara Elliott Henry Brown and the late Rosie Elliott and Jonathan Cummings; also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Progressive Ministries and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Progressive Ministries, 437 Cohen St., Marrero, La., on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Sterling Mealancon-officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m until service time at the above named church.
