Altesse Magee Adams, a homemaker, departed this life on Monday, July 25, 2011 at Canon Hospice. Mother of Fleming (Cathy) Magee, Frank Magee of Gretna, La., Matthew (Loretta) Magee of Grambling, La., David (Lavonia) Magee of Jacksonville, Fl. and Clarence (Chandra) Magee of Westwego, La. Sister of Leola (Dee) Coleman,Telester (Jimmy) Osbin of Picayune, Ms., Debora Magee of Biloxi, Ms. and J. C. Bryant of Thibodaux, La. Sister-in-law of Pearl Magee, of Picayune, Ms.; also survived by 12 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She was a member at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and served on the usher board, hospitality and deaconess ministry and as president of the mission board. Age: 71 years a native of Tylertown, Ms. and resident of Avondale, La. for 30 years. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and all neighboring churches. Employees of Canon Hospice, West Jefferson Medical Center, Avondale Shipyard, U. S. Postal Service of Jacksonville, Fl., and the Jefferson Parish Assessors Office are invited to attend the funeral service at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, 3512 Highway 90 W, Avondale, La. on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Bishop Sean Elder-officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m.-10:00a.m. ONLY Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, La. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, La.
