Estelle Charles Phillips entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 4, 2011 @ 9:00a.m. Devoted mother of Malinda (Lawrence) Gaines, Jr. , Burley (Debra) Charles, David (Tatum) Phillips, and the late Gregory Charles and Vincent Phillips, Sr. Grandmother of the late Kendra Phillips and Joseph Rideau. Beloved daughter of Malinda H. Day and the late Bennie Day. Former wife of the late Charles Phillips. Mother in law of the late Karen Phillips, also survived by 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren 2 sisters, 1 brother, 2 sisters & 2 brothers in law, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 67 years a native St. Joseph, La. and a resident of Algiers, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Greater Morning Star Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Greater Morning Star Baptist Church 1242 Vallette St. New Orleans, La. on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Dr. W. L. T. Littleton, pastor officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: McDonogh Cemetery-Gretna, La.
