Oceolia Smith went into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 3:50p.m. Beloved wife of Roland Winchester. Loving mother of Howard Redmond, Jr., Lloyd, and Beverly Winchester, Donald (Rebecca) Smith, and Debra (Charlie) Byther. Daughter of the late Albert Smith, Sr. and Orlean Harris Smith. Grandmother of Curtis and Tobi Jacobs, Howard, Nadia, Harlin, and Natalie Redmond, Trilanna, Terrell, and Jermaine Winchester, Crystal W. Alexander and Landon Kent. Sister of Bessie Westley of Houma, La. and the late Roseadel Mahoney, Francis Johnson, Lavina Brooks, Felice Lions, Beatrice Washington, Geniva, Willie, Bertha, Oliver and Albert Smith, Jr.; also survived by 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, neighbors, other relatives and friends. Age: 84 years a native of Houma, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Second Zion Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Zion Baptist Church, 6520 Second Zion Ave. Marrero, La. on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Pastor James Nelson Brown, officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
