Chauncy Williams Jr. on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 peacefully slept into the arms of Jesus at his residence. He was a resident of Bridge City, La. The son of the late Chauncy Williams Sr. and Alice Hall Williams. Chauncy is survived by his devoted and beloved wife Odeal E. Williams. The father of Chauncy III, Glynis and Shelly Williams, all of Irving, Tx. The step-father of Robin Snowton Terri (Leroy Charles), Donnie (Cherry) and Dwayne (Bridget) Mansfield. Grandfather of 13 and the great-grand-father of 3. Brother of Robert Williams, Ruby Washington, both of Opelousas, La., and Marion Williams of Shreveport, La. Godfather of Michele Ferdinand of Katy, Tx. Also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by 4 sisters, Catherine, Gertrude and Rose Mary Williams and Shirley Ferdinand and 3 brothers, Raymond, Lawrence and Richard Williams. A Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from U.S. Department of Agriculture. Relatives and friends of the family, also Pastors, Officers and members of Rock of Ages Baptist Church, Corinthian MBC #2, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Ochsner Hospital, Adler's Jewelry Store, La Purhcase Restaurant, Gulf Coast Office Products, The Times-Picayune LLC, and Guardian Hospice Inc. are invited to attend the Funeral Service on April 2, 2011 at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, 6533 Acre Road, Marrero, LA, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Gilbert L. Barnes officiating. Visitation starts at 8:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery and Mausoleum in Avondale, LA.
