Louella Carter Brown departed this life on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Carrington Place. She was a graduate of L. B. Landry High School and a former nurse aide at Manhattan Guest House. Beloved wife of the late Rev. Kesler Brown. Devoted mother of Jimmy D. Carter and Kedrick Carter. Daughter of the late Isiah and Geneva Stewart Carter. Sister of Isiah, Rev. Oliver (Cherlyn) Emile (Dianne), Adolph and Paul Carter, Geneva (Curtis) Ruffin, Lisa (Rev. Pernell) Dorris and the late Francis, Jimmy and Frank Carter; also survived by 5 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 61 years a native of New Orleans, La. and resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Sunrise Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Manhattan Guest House are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Sunrise Baptist Church, 1325 Leboeuf St. Gretna, La. at 10:00a.m. Pastor Lionel Hester-officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
