Superintendent Nathaniel Griffin, Jr. departed this life on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. He was the former pastor of Manhattan C.O.G.I.C. Husband of the late Corinne Griffin. Father of Gerald (Carrie) Griffin, Sr., Nathaniel (Linda) Griffin, III, James C. (Shirley), James J. (Gail), Wayne (Pauline), Patricia (Joseph) Donald and the late Sallie Brenda Griffin and Harold Griffin. Son of the late Elvira Alexander Perkins and Nathaniel Griffin, Sr. Brother of Gladys Edwards, Annabelle Simmons and the late Berts Perkins, Jr., Joseph Perkins, Sr., Sadie Jones, Rosa Harris, Elizabeth Brown, Eula Mae Davis, Lillian Woods, and Earline Jones, also survived by 18 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 93 years a native of Houma, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Thompson Temple Church of God In Christ and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Thompson Temple Church of God In Christ 1515 Whitney Ave. Gretna, La. on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
