Sanders Pa Jones departed this life on Monday, February 28, 2011. God spoke peace to the soul and called him home to be with him. Mr. Sanders was a retired electrical mechanic for General Electric Co. for 31 years. He was a dedicated member of The Soulful Heavenly Stars Gospel Singers. Devoted husband of Barbara Ross Jones. Beloved father of Anise Lynette, Dawn Anjanette, Akiem Ebony Jones, and Robert Fitzgerald (Sharleen ) Johnson. Son of the late Joseph and Anise Taylor Jones. Brother of Norma Turner, Everett Jones, Henry Jones and the late Lionel Jones and Clarence Jones, also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 70 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Harvey, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches. Gospel Group Singers, GE Employees, Egan Health Care Service, Wynhoven Health Care, and Notre Dame Hospice are invited to attend the funeral service from Evening Star Missionary B.
