Edwin Swatt departed this life on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at his residence. Loving husband of Tommye Kearns "Swatt. Father of Dana Scovell, Devin Swatt, Iesha Swatt, and Chara, Williams. Stepfather of Ernest, III, Joyce, Christina, and Michelle Williams, and Vandolyn Reese. Son of James Swatt, Sr. and Dorothy West White. Stepson of Joseph White. Brother of Uras (Charleen) Swatt, Lorraine (Clem Jr.) Brundidge, and Deboris (Isaiah) Johnson. Nephew of Aletha West Hills, also survived by 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 59 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Harvey, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Evariste Temple Church of God In Christ, First Immanuel Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Evariste Temple Church of God In Christ 1534 Monroe St. Gretna, La. on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
