Quincy Evans, an electrical maintenance worker at Valero St. Charles Refinery, departed for his Heavenly home on Saturday December 17, 2011. He was a graduate of John Ehret High School and attended the University of New Orleans. Quincy was the Superintendent of the Sunday school and vice president of the deacon board at St. Paul MBC. Devoted husband of Chellita Eskind Evans. Beloved father of Quincy Alan and Cydnee Leilani Evans. Loving son of Hezchair and Myrtle Evans. Brother of Connie and Brian Evans. Son in law of Betty Eskind. Great nephew of Melvina Gains; also survived by 3 aunts, 4 uncles and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 48 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Harvey, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Valero St. Charles Refinery, Pan American Life, and West Jefferson Medical Center are invited to attend the funeral service at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1013 Robinson Ave., Marrero, La. on Thursday December 22, 2011 at 11:00a.m. Visitation from 10:00a.m.-11:00a.m.(ONLY) Pastor Frank Williams, Sr.-officiating Interment: Restlawn Cemetery-Avondale, La. Repast will be at St. Paul MBC Fellowship Hall. Arrangements By Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, La.
