Lula Ruth Hollins Reeder departed this earthly life and entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 6, 2012. Sister Reeder had a loving and caring spirit, whose meek personality and genuine smile endeared her to many. Beloved wife of the late Donald Reeder, Sr. Devoted daughter of the late Willie Hollins, Sr. and Naomi Hollins. Loving mother of Angela (Dwayne) Turner, Regina Bankston, Cynthia (Sullivan, Sr.) Fortner, Donald R. Reeder, Jr. and Michael (Shelia) Bankston. Stepmother of Desiree (Ron) Castine. Grandmother of Jarell Bankson, Brielle Bankston, Sullivan Fortner, Jr., Ashtin Fortner, Amanda Fortner, India Turner, Imari Turner, Ryan Billew, Christopher Billew, Rhan Castine and Kory Castine. Sister of Delphenie Butler, Katie Bell, Naomi Hampton, Dora Morrison, Joyce Jackson, James (Annie) Hollins, Sr., Charlie Hollins, Malachi (Sandra) Hollins, David (Ethel) Hollins and the late Willie Hollins, Jr. and Odell Banks. Niece of Maggie Walters and Steve Banks. Godmother of Stephen (Jocelyn) Foster and Chelise Hollins; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 75 years, a native of Pinola Ms. and a resident of Laplace, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Destiny Christian Center, Greater King Solomon Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Interim LSU Public Hospital (Medical Center of Louisiana), Hair Headquarters, Port of New Orleans, St. John Parish School Board and the staff and clients of St. John ARC Center are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Destiny Christian Center, 612 Main St. Laplace, La. on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Steve O.
