Shirley Jean Oatis- Nettles, a self employed cosmetologist departed this life at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Thursday, December 15, 2011. Wife of William Nettles, Sr. Mother of Donna Nettles, Robin (V) Nettles, Lonte Nettles, Shunte Nettle, and the late William (Lancer) Nettles. Adoptive mother of Tomnisha Nene Morris. Daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Robert Oatis and Verlean Hill Oatis Clark. Sister of Chester Hill, Betty McDonald, Perleen Shaw, Linda O. Hartwell, and Barbara (Mark) Washington. Half sister of Lewis C. Oatis and Toenita Arrington. Sister in law of Lavern (Blaine) Smith, Sally Rose (Louis) Mallory, Jerry (Deb) Nettles, Ernest (Marilyn) Nettles. She also raised Jermaine (Plucker) Smith, also survived by a host grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 64 years a native of Silver Creek, Ms. and resident Harvey, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church 922 Estalote St. Harvey, La. on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Rev. John A.
