Marvin Louis Gaines , a tire maintenance mechanic departed this life at his residence on Monday, January 14, 2013. Father of Joshua Joyner. Son of Joel Gaines and Mary T. Gaines. Grandson of the late James, Sr. and Selina Thomas, Oscar Gaines and Annie Hankerson. Brother of Phyllis Gaines Goodman, Paula M. Gaines, and Pamela Gaines Jones. Nephew of the late Ella Mae Brown, James Thomas, Jr., and Joseph Thomas, also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 47 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Harvey, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of House of Deliverance Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at House of Deliverance Church 732 Opelousas Ave. Algiers, La. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 11:00a.m. Apostle Mary Trask officiating Visitation will begin at 10:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
