Cheryl Loraine Eglen departed this life on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Louisiana Specialty Hospital in Marrero, La. She was a graduate of L. W. Higgins High School, Delgado Community College and a Community Service Counselor for Jefferson Parish. Devoted mother of Loretta Eglen (Gregory, Sr.) Anderson. Stepmother of Rogers Gray Jr., Nataka A. Gray, and Mario Gray. Grandmother of McKenzie D., Marleaux D., Jonquil R. and Gregory Anderson, Jr. Great grandmother of Traise M. Williams. Daughter of the late Willie Eglen and Alma Mitchell Eglen; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 61 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Greater Mt. Calvary Church, Promised Land Ministries of Tomball, Tx. and neighboring churches; employees of Jefferson Parish Community Service, Bernard, Cassisa, Elliot and Davis Law Firm and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Greater Mt. Calvary Church, 1600 Westwood Dr. Marrero, La. on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10:00a.m. Elder Terry Gullage, Sr. officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
