Audrey Mae Melancon

Audrey Mae Melancon was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at age 71. A native of New Orleans and a resident of Algiers, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Beatrice Johnson Batiste, brother Ernest Batiste, sister-in-law Mercedes Batiste, two sisters, Alice Andrews and Dorothy Mae Garner, son Wayne Melancon and grandson Kevin Refuge. She leaves behind one brother, Clark Baptiste. She was the loving mother of Michael (Ava), Janice, Linda, Kevin, Joycelyn, Gala, Antionette and Melissa Melancon. She also leaves to mourn her 13 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Davis Mortuary, 230 Monroe St., Gretna, LA 70053 on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 10:00 A.M.
