Mary Ann Meads Malter entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 10:00a.m. She was a graduate of W. H. Reed High School in Labadieville, La. and a retired transit operator with over 30 years of service at the Regional Transit Authority. Beloved wife of Larry M. Malter. Devoted mother of Tavaya Lee, Courtney Meads and the late Reginald Lee, Jr. Stepmother of Larry, Sean, Shawna and Tomonica. Daughter of the late Zack Meads, Jr. and Mildred Brown Meads. Stepdaughter of Ethel Meads. Sister of Zack Meads, III, Mack, Wayne, Johnny and Zack Meads, IV, Bennie and Craig Simmons, Jimmy and Wesley Lacey, Earl Thomas, Diane Adams, Patricia Marshall, Joyce Hookfin and the late Eddie and Ronnie Meads, Theresa Waller, Liza Butler and Patricia Bickham; also survived by 3 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 62 years a native of Thibodaux, La. and a resident of New Orleans, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Greater Emmanuel Baptist Church, First Pilgrim Baptist Church, St. Mark Baptist Church of Labadieville, La., Original Morning Star Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of RTA and First Student are invited to attend the Funeral Service at First Pilgrim Baptist Church, 1228 Arts St., New Orleans, La. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 11:00a.m. Rev. Dr. Eugene Mitchell, host pastor- Rev. Dr. Robert Myers, officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service at the above named church. Interment: Providence Memorial Park Cemetery- Metairie, La. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, La.
