Viola Osborne Brown departed this life on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 85. Beloved wife of Tom Brown, Sr. Devoted mother of Doris Brown Dummars, Eunice Brown Singleton, Odessa Brown, Tom Brown, Jr., Otis James Brown, Jonathon Brown and Pastor Dolhman Brown. Preceded in death by her parents Hattie and Freddie Osborne, Sr., her brothers, sisters and grandson Terry Eugene Dummars; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. A native of New Orleans, La. and a lifelong resident of Gretna, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of First Emmanuel Baptist Church of Gretna, La., Thompson Temple COGIC and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Thompson Temple Church of God In Christ, 1515 Whitney Ave. Gretna, La. on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 10:00a.m. Bishop Keith Thornton, host pastor- Pastor Dolhman Brown-officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
