Percy Russell Washington, a retired bus driver for Jefferson Parish Public School System Transportation Department entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at West Jefferson Medical Center. Beloved husband of the late Beatrice Washington. Father of Dwayne and Ezra Washington, Sr., Dwan M, Jones, and Latoya Washington. Son of the late Freddie, Sr. and Leola Washington. Brother of Betty W. Dean and Yvonne W. ( Herbert) Washington, Freddie (Viola), Jr. and Lawrence (Idella) Washington, Sr., also survived 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 76 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral Service at Second Zion Baptist Church 6520 Second Zion Ave. Marrero, La. on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Bishop James Nelson Brown officiating Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church.
