Floyd Falkins, Sr., a former employee of Harahan Guest House and Ochsner Foundation Hospital departed this life on Friday, August 3, 2012 in Baton Rouge, La. Loving father of Chaylne Williams, Tamica Glasper, Floyd Falkins, Jr. and LaShauna Converson. Former husband of Pennie Riley-Falkins. Beloved son of Floyd Jackson and Valerie Sims. Stepson of Eddie Sims. Brother of Larry, Dwayne, and Joseph Sims, Manuel, Lawrence and Floyd Jackson, Justine Thomas, Gloria Jacobs, Marie and Kizzie Jackson and the late Trina Lewis, Gwendolyn Jackson and Clarence Falkins. Grandson of Stella Harvey Falkins and James Falkins, Sr.; also survived by 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 61 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family and employees of Harahan Guest House and Ochsner Foundation Hospital are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, La. on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 1:00p.m. Pastor Louis Phenix, Jr. of First King Solomon Baptist Church, officiating Visitation will begin at 12:00p.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
