Tomica Shawn Anderson-Thomas departed this life on Friday, December 24, 2010. Loving wife of Vandrix Thomas. Devoted mother of Devin D. and Zharia M. Anderson. Daughter of Karen Garrison Anderson-Maxwell and the late Wilbert (Popsey) Anderson, Jr. Stepdaughter of John Maxwell, III. Daughter in law of Vernon and Elaine Thomas. Granddaughter of Gladiola Garrison (John White) and the late Charles Lee Garrison, Wilbert and Victoria Anderson. Sister of Joan Marie (Tony) Garrett, John (Tonya) Maxwell, IV, Quiana Anderson, Janel (Anthony) Platt, Kimberly and Kourtney Maxwell. Sister in law of Verlisa (Matthew) Brock, Vereicher and Vernon, Thomas, Jr., also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 37 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Indianapolis, Indiana since 2002. Relatives and friends of the family, pastors, and members of New Direction Worship Center of Indianapolis, Indiana, Household of Faith, Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, Upperroom Bible Church, and Fischer Community Church and neighboring churches. Employees of Zotec Partners, Zing at the Canal, Stericycle, Lyn Hurst 7th & 8th Grade Center, and Krogers Grocery Store of Indiana, Francis Torque-Torq/Lite, Jefferson Parish Dept. of Code Enforcement, and Palace Café are invited to attend the funeral service at Fischer Community Church 1737 L.B. Landry Blvd. Algiers, La. on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, La.
