Raphael "Brother" DeJanerra Garrison, departed this life in Hammond, LA on Friday, January 25, 2013. A graduate of Belle Chasse High and Southeastern University with a Bachelor of Business Administration with minor in Business Management. He was a graduate student and entrepreneur (dog breeder). Companion of Austria Lee. Father of Auria Nicole Garrison. Son of Lisa Turner Garrison and Oscar Lee Garrison, Jr. Brother of Rika Nashon Garrison, Re'shea Naomi Garrison and Maya Juari Williams Garrison. Grandson of Dolores A. Turner , Veraldine Garrison, the late Oliver Turner, Sr. and Oscar Garrison, Sr. Nephew of the late Oscar Byron Turner. Godson of Juanita Brooks and Carl Baloney. Also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Age 23 years. A native of Plaquemines Parish and resident of Belle Chasse, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officer and members of Greater Morning Star Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Greater Morning Star Baptist Church, 14747 Hwy. 23, Belle Chasse, LA on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the above named church.
