Lana Montrell Anderson departed this life, at her residence, on Saturday, March 16, 2013. Devoted companion of Kim Carter. Mother of Brandi, Kendra, Kimberly, Keshia, Kendricka and Tim Anderson. Grandmother of Wania, Jacoby, Ja'Kyren, and Vernon Anderson. Daughter of Gail and Bernell Anderson, Sr. Sister of Tamara, Waukeshia and Bernell Anderson, Jr. Aunt of Bernell Anderson III. Granddaughter of Elton and Orelia Anderson, the late Annette Sextion and Howard Young. Daughter-in-law of Winston Carter, Jr. and the late Hilda Carter. Sister-in-law of Donald Higgins, Jr., Alexis Williams, Valencia (Michael ) Johnson, Bryant, and Winston Carter. Godmother of Danny Huntington. Also survived by a host of aunts, uncles ,cousins, other relatives and friends. Age 41 years. A native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. Relatives and friends; also pastors, officers and members of True Fellowship Christian Center, Second Nazarene, Second Baptist, Asbury Methodist and Living Word Churches ; employees of Algiers Charter, Alice Harte, O. Perry Walker, Behrman and Gretna Middle Schools, ATA, Howard Masonry, Beauty World, Winn Dixie and Magnolia Discount are invited to attend the Funeral Services at True Fellowship Christian Center, 1101 Franklin Ave., Gretna, LA on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Rev.
