Lillie Mae Jackson Thomas departed this life at her residence on Saturday, April 13, 2013. Wife of Henry Thomas, Jr. by second marriage, and Leroy Jackson by first marriage. Mother of Louise, Patricia, Sharon, Paulette, Leroy, and Leonard Jackson and the late Misette Jackson. Daughter of the late Sam Thomas and Louise Maurice. Sister of the late Joyce Dyer, Louise Scott, Sterling, Joseph, Clarence, Delores, Alton and Gerald Maurice. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, 26 great- grandchildren, 1 great-great- grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age 71 years. A native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family; also pastors, officers, and members of Little Zion Baptist Church #3 and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Little Zion Baptist Church #3, 441 Wilson St., Marrero, La. on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Norman Smith officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery -Avondale, La.
