Betty Ann Singleton Smith departed this life at Dekalb Medical Center on Saturday, April 20, 2013. Wife of the late Rev. Isaac Smith, Sr. Mother of Yolanda Smith Pierre, Wanda Smith, and Kevin Neil Smith. Adoptive mother of Jordan Smith. Stepmother of Irene Simon, Isaac (Betty) Smith, Gilda (Bobby) Phils, Isaac (Charlotte) Smith, Ivory (Betsy) Smith, Shedrick (Cheryl) Smith, Fredrick (Shelia) Smith. Daughter of the late Nathaniel, Sr., and Rosetta Singleton. Sister of Rudolph and Stanley Singleton and the late Nathaniel (Sing) Singleton, Murphy Singleton, Morris Palmer, and Jessina Singleton Clark. Mother in law of Rodney J. Pierre, Sr., also survived by 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 17 step grandchildren, 25 step great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age 69 years. A native of Morgan City, La. and a resident of Avondale, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers and members of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, 6223 6th Ave., Marrero, La. on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Edward Joseph, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time a t the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, La.
