Emma Louise Gumms departed this life at her residence on Friday, April 26, 2013. Companion of Chris McCusker. Mother of Danny, Rita (Charles), Alex, Derrick, Keitrel, and Bryant Gumms. Daughter of the late Robert and Emma Steward. Sister of Larry Pierce, Warren Pierce, Benjamin Walker, Abraham Gumms, Bobby Gumms, Robert Gumms, Jr., Herbert Gumms, Joseph Gumms, Lorraine Jordan, Leona Butler, Viola Gumms, Mary Gumms and the late Shirley Presley and Beatrice Pierce. Aunt of the late Bryan Gumms, also survived by 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 3 godchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age 53 years. A native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of First New Testament Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at First New Testament Baptist Church, 6112 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, La. on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 10:00a.m. Rev.
