Geraldine "Annie" Byrd, a retired Pharmacist Technicia,n was called home on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the age of 62. She was a native of Utica, Ms. and a resident of Marrero, La. Loving mother of Jacqueline Byrd, Tina M. Byrd, Jessica R. Sails, Aliyah Francois, Dave Byrd and Travis Haynes. Grandmother of the late John "Zeus" Byrd. Daughter of the late Leola Bowman Bailey. Sister of Walter, Frankco, Vincent and Curtis Bailey, Shirley, Ora, Diane, Hattie, Mary, Kim, Ida, Lynn and the late Sandra "Jean" Jones. Godmother of Danielle Bailey. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Heavenly Star Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Heavenly Star Baptist Church, 1020 Cohen St., Marrero, La. on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Dr. Mack Stokes, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Providence Memorial Park Cemetery, Metairie, La.
