Emelda Thompson Dabney

Emelda "Ms. Teenie" Thompson Dabney passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at 12:54a.m. Beloved wife of Leroy Dabney, Jr. Mother of Gwendolyn Dabney, Leroy (Sherri) Dabney III, Edwin (Gwen) Lofton, and the late Carla Dabney. Daughter of the late Matilda Jones and Authur Thompson. Sister of Elaine Thompson, Rose Zeno, Haywood, Harell, Harold, and Floyd Jones, Ocie Alexander, Arthur Thompson, Jr., and the late Cecelia Thompson. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Age 73 years. A native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Marrero, La. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Resurrection of Christ and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, La. on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Gilbert Barnes officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, La.
