Isaac McPherson, Sr.

Isaac "Ike" McPherson, Sr., a retired truck driver, entered into eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the age of 86. He was a native of Houma, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Beloved husband of the late Yvonne Butler McPherson. Loving father of Melvin (Susan) of Houston, TX, Kirk of Lake Charles, LA, Gregory, Wycliff (Doretha) of Utica, MS, Owen and Isaac (Kimberly) McPherson, Jr., Minister Sandra (George) McCain of Kansas City, MO, Gaynell McPherson of Los Angeles, CA, Debra Grey of Lake Charles, LA, Rosalyn Bush of Atlanta, GA and the late Gary McPherson. Son of the late George and Olivia Porche McPherson. Brother of the late Isiah, James, Austin, Edward and Nathan McPherson, Alice Stevenson, Helen Adams, Lillie Smith and Mabel Washington; also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Rock of Ages Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Pelican Grocery and Marine Supply, New Orleans Public Belt Railroad and the State of Louisiana Dept. of Children and Family Services are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, 6533 Acre Rd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Gilbert Barnes, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
