Melvin Dordain

Melvin Dordain, a retired welder, entered into eternal rest at University Hospital on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the age of 67. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, La. Beloved husband of Dianne Major. Loving stepfather of Kermit (Eboni) Major, Carl Cain, Sheryl Smith and Terri Walker. Son of the late David Dordain, Sr. and Randy Paulin Dordain. Brother of Raymond, Eddie and Evelyn Dordain and the late Leo, Dorothy, David, Jr. and Elizna Dordain; also survived by a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Alice Dordain. Relatives and friend of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, La. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
