Willie Harris, Sr. on Tuesday, July 02, 2013 the Lord came and received his Angel and decided it was time for him to come home. Devoted husband of Dianne Florant Harris. Loving father of Willie(Davina), Jarrod (Melissa) Harris and Keitha Harris (Jermaine) Henry. Devoted children: Ronald "Boosie" Dumas, Twan (Leroy) Jennings and Angelique (Darrell) Griffith. Son of the late Edward and Madie Harris. Brother of Cenia (Nathan) Willis, Archie Young, Dorothy Harris, Elaine Ventress, Bobbie Nell (Ellery) King, O'Fell Harris, Shirley (Donald) Demerson and Sandra Patterson. Brother-in-law of Carl (Janet) Florant, Lionel Florence, Antoinette Harris and Alice Harris. Best friend of Michael (Skin) Taylor. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 devoted grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age 65 years. A native of Utica, MS and a resident of Marrero, LA. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and a member of the Forest Organization, Inc. Special thanks to Ochsner Hospital. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; members of Lincoln High School Class of 1966 and The Forest Organization, Inc.; employees of Jefferson Parish Public School System and Chevron Oakpoint - Belle Chasse are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 1000 Walkertown Way, Marrero, LA on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Dr. T.J. Brown, Jr., pastor officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA.
