Pearless Livas Ellison

Pearless Livas Ellison entered into eternal rest, peacefully, in her home on Saturday, July 6, 2013. Pearless displayed a nurturing spirit throughout her life as a devoted wife and mother. Devoted wife of the late Lionel " Blue" Ellison, Sr. Loving mother of Patrice Ellison Joseph, Romell Ellison, Lionel Eillison, Jr. (Jacquelyn), Hon. Leslie Ellison, Byron Ellison, Sr. and Lorne Ellison, Sr. (Cypra). Daughter of the late Eddie Livas and Estelle Howard Livas Walker (George). Sister of George Walker, Jr. (Mona Lisa), Brinda Walker and Linda Walker Anderson (Curtis Sr.) and the late Georgia Mae Foster. Mother-in-law of the late Lawrence Joseph. Also survived by 19 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age 78 years. A native of Ellendale/Schriever, LA and a resident of Algiers, LA. Pearless graduated from Booker T. Washington. She was a retired nurses assistant, who cared for many while employed at Mary Joseph Nursing Home. Relatives and friends of the family; also pastors, officers and members of Olive Branch BC, Gideon Christian Fellowship International, House of Judah-Wings of Faith, Second Zion BC, Mt. Pilgrim BC, and all neighboring churches; employees of Woldenberg Nursing Home, Total Community Action, Arthur Monday Community Center and Orleans Parish School Board are invited to celebrate the life of Pearless Livas Ellison at Gideon Christian Fellowship International, 3401 Elysian Fields Ave., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Apostle Willie F. Wooten will officiate the worship service. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, La.
