Eddie William "Big Popper" "Double Crosser" Vincent, a retired laborer from Southern Pacific Railroad and Gallagher Moving Company, entered into heaven on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 2:00 a.m. Beloved husband of the late Marion H. Vincent. Father of Candie, Albertha M. Mayfield, Sadie Meggs Brown, Rev. Ozzie Joseph, Rev. Clarence Joseph, Michael and Ferdinand Meggs and the late Elaine Young. Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. E. Vincent. Brother of the late Mable Vincent and James Powell. He is also survived by 58 grandchildren, 98 great-grandchildren, 108 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age 95 years. A native of Indianapolis, IN and a resident of Algiers, LA. Mr. Vincent was a deacon and the oldest member of St. Joseph Outreach Baptist Church and a member of a Masonic Lodge. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of St. Joseph Outreach, Life Center F.G., St. John, Hosana Fellowship, Second Bright Morning Star Baptist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of St. Luke Living Center, Gentilly Terrance School, Bertha's Place and Restaurant, NASA, Kipp Primary, N.O. Charter Public Schools, Medard H. Nelson School, SOHO Network of CA, St. Catherine's Christian Hospital - TX, Mortgage Banking - CA, Penta Co., Marlin Gusman Sheriff's Office, CGI Security and ATT&T - AL are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Hosana Fellowship Church, 400 Weidman St., Gretna, LA on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Rev.
