Henry Samuel, a retired painter, departed this life at Tulane University Medical Center on Friday, August 2, 2013. Son of Laura Samuel and the late Henry Taylor. Stepfather of Josie May Thomas and Betty Ayton. Brother of Ida, Lynn, Marion, and the late Robert Samuel. Uncle of Monica Madison. Great uncle of Tajah Refuge. Devoted friend of Jannie Mae Stokes , also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 71 years a native and resident of New Orleans, La. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, La. on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
