Gregory Dane Huskey

Gregory D. "Gregg" Huskey, a General Contractor and Owner of Huskey Construction, LLC, entered into eternal rest at his residence on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 2:19 a.m. Father of Renaldo Thompson, Kyle Huskey, Tayler Henderson, and Breelon Bryant. Son of Willie Callaway and the late Mary Rhodes Kyzar. Stepson of the late Joseph H. Kyzar. Brother of Johnny, Michael (Rhonda), William Sr.,and Gerald (LeaAnn) Huskey, Harold, Charles, and Willie Callaway, Willie Ed, Timmie Washington, Joyce Wilson (Samuel), Florence Wright, Margaret Huskey, Sylvesta Cameron (James), and the late Robert, Tony, George and Dorothy Huskey. Brother-in-law of Valerie Huskey and Johnnie Mae Callaway. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age 51 years. A native of Star City, AR and a resident of Harvey, LA. Gregg was a graduate of John Ehret High School and attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe (Northeastern). He served for many years as a deacon at New Home Ministries. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers and members of New Home Ministries and all neighboring churches; employees of Huskey Construction, Davita Healthcare Partners, Entergy,French Riviera, Las Vegas NV School System, Jackson MS School System, MC Mechanical Construction, and Pinnacle; and members of Phi Beta Sigma Inc. Fraternity are invited to attend the Funeral Services at New Home Ministries, 1616 Carondelet St., New Orleans, LA on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the above named church.
