Esther Mae Shelby

Esther Mae Shelby, a retired X-Ray Technician, departed this life on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the age of 76. Wife of the late Jack Shelby, Jr. Mother of Juan (Shameka), Norvel (Gina) and Wayne (Rory) Shelby. Daughter of the late Ellen Henderson and Norvel Laws. Also survived by 4 brothers, 6 sisters, 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Shelby was a native of Thibodaux, LA and a resident of Avondale, LA for the past 45 years where she was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 329 S. Jamie Blvd., Avondale, LA on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA.
