Lola Mae T. Mahoney, a homemaker, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 4:25a.m. Wife of the late Herbert Mahoney, Sr. Mother of Lester Thomas, Joyce (Praylen) Dickerson, Angela (Michael) Ellis, Herbert, Bruce, Shelia (Stanley) Mahoney and the late Marie Rhea. Daughter of the late Earl Thomas and Marie Jones. Sister of Herman Davis, Willie Thomas, Brenda Davis, Joann St.Cyr and the late James Jones, also survived by 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 71 years a native and resident of New Orleans, La. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, La. on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 8:30a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
