Ronald John Williams

Ronald John Williams, Sr., age 62, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 21, 2012, surrounded by family at West Jefferson Medical Center. He was a proud deacon of Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Harvey, LA serving over 30 years and a dedicated member of The Harvey Civic Association. Ronald attended Ascension Parish School System and was a former employee of Evans Cooper, Winn Dixie Warehouse, Johns Mandeville, Hydril and Bordens Company. Devoted husband of 41 years to Fay Johnson Williams. Loving father of Ronald "Dody" Williams, Jr. and Kristy Jenise Williams Johnson. Grandfather of Ashley Lee, Ronald Williams, Ja'Nai Johnson, Rayon Williams and Keon Hampton. Son of the late Edna Williams Johnson and Willie Williams, Sr. Brother of Barbara Henry, Gilda Williams, Caroline Campbell, Willie Williams, Jr., Robert Williams (his twin), Anthony Williams, Ray Charles Williams and the late Frank Williams; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 1701 Estalote Street, Harvey, LA on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 10:00am Pastor Ricky Johnson, officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00am until service time at the above named church.
