Michele Burnside Fields, a retired home health aide, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank. She attended Delta College and was a member of Progressive Church Choir. Beloved wife of the late Donald Fields, Sr. Loving mother of Timothy Burnside Sr., Tiffany E. Burnside, Tawon E. Burnside and the late Tanya E. and Sharon S. Burnside. Daughter of the late Percy Burnside, Jr. and Gracie Burnside. Sister of Samuel L. Murray, Robert Burnside, Sr., Greg Burnside, Sharon London , Jennifer Steib, Starletia "Star" Goodwin and the late Montez Murray and Percy Burnside, IV; also survived by 8 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age: 52 years a native of Chicago, IL and a resident of Marrero, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Progressive Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Progressive Church, 437 Cohen St. Marrero, LA on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 10:00am Pastor Sterling Mealancon, officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00am until service time at the above named church.
