Alvin James Alexis, age 63, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2013. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Beloved son of the Louis Alexis, Sr. and the late Lillian Alexis. Father of Freida (Ura) Sims of Thibodaux, LA, Faletta (Lorenzo) Acoff of Jacksonville, FL, Quenisha Landry of Kenner, LA, Cameron and Alvin Alexis of Dallas, TX. Brother of Cheril Alexis-Young of North Carolina, Beulah Alexis- Hadrick of Missouri City, TX, and Louis Alexis, Jr. of Westwego, LA; also survived by 4 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of St. John Roman Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Mass of Christian burial at St. John Roman Catholic Church, 2085 St. Mary St., Thibodaux, LA on Friday, August 30. 2013 11:00am Visitation will begin at 9:00am until service time.
