Albertha Rogers Ward, a retired Head Cook @ Manhattan Guest House departed this life at her residence on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 12:30a.m. Wife of the late Clarence Ward, Jr. Mother of Clarence Ward, III. Daughter of the late Willie and Lula Cushenberry Rogers. Sister of Beulah R. Davis and the late Milton White, Sylvester "Buddy" Brown, Roberta R. Coleman, and Willia Mae R. Franklin. Niece of August Taylor, Sr. and Bessie Cushenberry Taylor, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Age: 81 years a native of New Orleans, La. and a resident of Harvey, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, offices, and members of Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the funeral service at Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church 817 Grefer St. Harvey, La. 70058 on Saturday October 5, 2013 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Keith Paul Stewman officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
