Doris E. "MeMe" Williams Peel, age 75, was summoned by her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Ochsner Extended Care Hospital of Kenner. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Algiers, LA. Devoted wife of SFC Marvin C. Peel, US Army (Ret.) for nearly 50 years. Loving mother of Cassie (Marie) Boyd of Luling , LA, CPO Duane M. (Tonya) Peel, Sr. US Navy (Ret.) of Terrytown, LA, Andrea M. (SSG Robert, US Army-Ret.) Alston of Hampton, VA, Reginald D. (Tiffany) Peel of Metairie, LA, Anthony (Koatney) Channey, Jr. of Harvey, LA and the late Valderia (Bernard) Tiernman, US Navy (Ret.). Daughter of the late Lloyd and Leontine Augustine Williams. Sister of 1st SGT Raymond G. Williams, US Army (Ret.), Dr. Katherine (Darrell ) Causey and the late Lloyd, Jr. and Robert H. Williams, Sr., Lorraine Porter, Helen A. Smith, Velma Boyd and Bobbie J. Harrell; also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
