David Henry, Sr., entered into eternal rest of Friday, October 25, 2013 at 3:56a.m. at his residence. Beloved husband of Leanir Sanders Henry. Beloved father of David (Kim) Henry, Jr. and Miranda (Vertis) Williams. Grandfather of Tykeisha and David Griffin, MaKarios and Raheem Nguyen, Tyrese Henry, Schqunna (Kellan) Woods, and Tamara McDowell. Son of the late Robert and Stella Henry. Brother Orelia (Alton, Sr.) Anderson, Nancy (Oliver, Sr.) Glenn, Stella Jimicoly, Augustine Cook, Willia Mae Green, Geraldine (Charles, Sr.) Robinson, Norma Hilliard, Janice (Mervin, Jr.) Duplessis, and Kermit (Felicia) Henry, also survived by 3 great grandchildren,7 brothers, 1 sister, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age: 68 years a native and a resident of New Orleans, La. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Second Nazarine Baptist Church, St. Paul Baptist Church of Jennings, La., and neighboring churches; Lakewood Country Club, L. B. Landry Class of 64, VA War Veterans Home of Jennings, La., and Serenity Hospice are invited to attend the funeral service at Second Nazarine Baptist Church 3062 Boyd St. New Orleans, La. on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Peter L. Crawford, Jr. officiating Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, La.
