Robert Stamps

Robert Stamps, age 57, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at his residence. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Harvey, LA. Robert was a graduate of West Jefferson High School and was employed by Resolve Marine of Fort Lauderdale, FL as a Tugboat Captain, which allowed him the opportunity to travel too many different countries. Beloved ex-husband and best friend of Avis Stamps. Loving father of Kederick Stamps, Kendra (Owen) Joseph, Tayna (Darwin) Nigrines, and Tara Stamps and Rachel Stamps. Devoted son of Willie Mae Stamps and the late Ulysses Stamps. Brother of John (Rose) Davis, Ulysses (Cheryl) Stamps, Albert (Jennifer) Stamps and the late Floyd Torry. Brother-in-law of Marshellia Thompson and Felicia Bolton. Devoted friend of Holly Wilson and Wylow Stevenson; also survived by 6 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Restoration Fellowship Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 10:00am Visitation will begin at 8:00am until service time at the above named parlor.
