Marguerite "Ardee" Charles Carter, peacefully left her earthly life on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Ochsner Hospital-Westbank. Beloved wife of the late Willie Carter, Sr.; and beloved mother of Cheri, Charlene, Elliot, Charmaine, Everett (Patrice), Noel, Shawn, Derrick (Sonya), Nicole and Darian Carter; and Dion Charles. Daughter of the late Rev. Frank, Sr. and Charlotte Santiago Charles; Beloved sister of Dave and Bernell Charles and the late Ethel Henry, Frank, Jr., Clarence, and Jerry Charles. Granddaughter of the late Benjamin and Della Smith Charles. Niece of Ferdile St. Cyr and Evelina Washington; Also, survived by a devoted goddaughter Norma Henry; 27 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 5 sisters-in-law; 1 brother-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends. Age: 72 years, a lifelong resident of Algiers, LA. Relatives and friends of the family; pastors, officers and members of Second Baptist Church, Second Nazarene Baptist Church, Asbury United Methodist Church and all neighboring churches; employees of Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, and Ochsner Hospital-Westbank are invited to attend the funeral Service at Second Baptist Church, 2836 Sullen Place, New Orleans, LA. on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Taza Green, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. to 9:50 a.m. only. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St., Gretna, LA.
